Nestled in five surrounding villages, Lake Achen or Achensee in german is Tirol's largest lake. it is surrounded by fascinating mountain scenery of the Karwendel and Rofan mountains. This is one tourist spot you should not miss to visit when you are in Tirol. The lake is the largest and deepest (133 meters) amongst Tirol's lakes.
