Even though my cast iron collection is larger than what you see in most kitchens, I still succumbed to temptation and ended up buying the Lodge Cast Iron pie plate. Since Lodge opened its new second foundry, they've been releasing newly designed cast iron pans at at the rate of several each year. Now in 2020, they've released a new line of cast iron pans especially meant for baking, including and a cast iron pan especially for making pies. And this may have helped to create what I feel was my best apple pie ever, one that I'm proud to show here. Is the new Lodge Cast Iron pie plate worth buying? Take a look and see for yourself. The recipe for this pie can be seen on my Web site, Cast Iron Chaos, at: [ Ссылка ]
I should say Lodge did not send me this pie pan as a promotional gift - I bought it myself, because I'm a satisfied customer, and I'm proud to use Lodge cast iron in my kitchen. The Lodge pie plate is a great addition to my collection, and I'll be having a lot of fun making more pies with this.
