EBENSBURG, Pa. -- Police are asking for help in identifying two armed robbers who are still on the run. Police said they not only took off with cash, but also pistol-whipped an employee.
Cambria Township police released surveillance photos and video of two men wearing masks and armed with a gun and a knife.
The armed robbery happened when the culprits went through the doors of the Uni-Mart along Route 22 near Ebensburg around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
The men confronted two employees, and while they were demanding cash, police said one employee was pistol-whipped in the head and injured.
No shots were fired.
Police said the two thieves got away with several hundred dollars in cash and are still on the run.
Police and EMS personnel responded to the scene and the store was shut down for a short while.
It is still unknown if they escaped in a vehicle or if they ran away.
Anyone who knows these two men are asked to call Cambria County police.
The condition of the employee who was hit with the gun is still unknown.
