Amidst the recent developments, be it the letter of a constitutional authority to another constitutional authority making allegations against a sitting judge, or contempt jurisprudence development, base-less remarks against judges or attempts of forum shopping, the fine balance of freedom of expression vis-a-vis the Courts remains far from settled. To discuss this jurisprudence, Niti Manthan organized a talk on "Freedom of Speech and the Courts". Dr Venkat Iyer, Barrister and Editor, The Commonwealth Lawyer (London), had a conversation with Siddharth Sijoria, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, on the topic. Nitish Rai Parwani moderated the session. The recording of the talk can be perused in this video.
