Haritaki is one of the fruits included in the popular Triphala formulation and many other Ayurvedic remedies.
For the purpose of Rasayana (rejuvenation), Haritaki should be taken with following Anupana, depending on the season. This is called Rtu Haritaki.
1. Sarat 🍂 autumm / anupana sugar candy.
2. Hemanta 🧣 early winter / anupana dried ginger.
3. Sisira 🧦late winter / anupana long pepper.
4. Vasanta 🌷spring / anupana honey.
5. Grisma ☀️ summer / anupana jaggery.
6. Varsa 🌧 rainy season / anupana rock salt.
