Hungarian politician and Member of the European Parliament Béla Kovács is reportedly suspected of working as a Russian spy.
The far-right Alliance of European National Movements, which Kovacs helped found is also said to be suspected of having clandestine links with Russia.
Kovács has denied the allegations.
"I must reject the allegation that the Alliance of European National Movements would be under Russian influence or the recipient of Russian financing," he said.
