10 years on since her last overhaul, LMS Stanier Jubilee 45690 'Leander' makes her final farewells before the end of her extended boiler certificate at the Epping Ongar Railway.

Having ran her last mainline tour in September 2023, 45690 has spent the last 8 months visiting the East Lancashire Railway. the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, the Mid Hants Railway and the Epping Ongar Railway. For her final day in traffic, the locomotive put on a strong performance, running alongside visiting GWR Saint Class 2999 'Lady of Legend' from Didcot Railway Centre.

Joining the train at Ongar for the final run of the weekend, a series of detonators were set off to mark the engine's last passenger service, with the locomotive's owner, Chris Beet, in the driving seat.
