The moment we set foot in Six Senses Zighy Bay, we knew we were in for an extraordinary weekend. Our arrival, with the INCREDIBLE view, set the tone for a truly unique experience. The resort's location is nothing short of spectacular, sandwiched between the dramatic Hajar Mountains and the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Oman.

From the warm and genuine welcome by the staff to the stunning views that greeted us at every turn, our first impressions were beyond captivating. This was a place where nature's grandeur harmoniously coexisted with exquisite luxury.

The Villas:

Our accommodation, a private beachfront pool villa, was an oasis of comfort and space. The villas at Six Senses Zighy Bay are not just rooms; they are luxurious retreats in themselves. The interiors were designed with a nod to traditional Omani architecture, blending seamlessly with modern amenities. We had our very own private pool, offering serene moments of relaxation under the warm Omani sun.

The highlight, however, was the outdoor shower and the spectacular starlit sky view from our villa's terrace. Waking up to the gentle lull of the sea and the sight of mountains in the distance was a truly magical experience. These spacious and well-appointed villas ensured that every moment of our stay was indulgent and serene.

Dining Excellence:

As self-proclaimed connoisseurs of fine dining, Six Senses Zighy Bay left us in awe. The resort boasts several dining options, each offering a culinary journey of its own. Even though we did not have the chance to try "Sense on the Edge," perched high in the mountains, we would highly recommend it. The breathtaking views combined with the exquisite tasting menu can make for an unforgettable evening. We highly recommend booking a table here during sunset – it's a memory you won't soon forget. We avoided it given that in May, the temperatures were already very high.

For a more relaxed experience, the main restaurant served delicious food where we maybe had the BEST buffet dinner we've ever had. Oysters (fresh from Dibba bay), Lobster, Tuna,... Whether it was enjoying a private beachside dinner or savoring a DELICIOUS breakfast, the food at Six Senses Zighy Bay was always a highlight.

Service Excellence:

One of the standout aspects of our stay was the impeccable service. The staff at Six Senses Zighy Bay are not just attentive; they are genuinely warm and welcoming. At every level, their attention to detail was remarkable.

We also appreciated the dedication to sustainability and the resort's commitment to reducing its ecological footprint. It was heartening to see a luxury resort prioritize both guest comfort and environmental responsibility. They have their own organic garden, do lots of recycling for MANY things and so on. Six Senses is not just greenwashing when talking about sustainability.

Activities and Relaxation:

While relaxation was high on our agenda, we also explored the numerous activities the resort offers. Even though mountain biking was on our to-do list, we skipped it because of the very high temperatures and did an experience never done before: paragliding. It was just AMAZING and we would highly recommend it.

But perhaps our most cherished moments were spent at the spa, indulging in rejuvenating treatments and enjoying the tranquil setting. Six Senses Spa offered a holistic approach to well-being, leaving us feeling truly refreshed and revitalized.
