The 011 is a new, transformerless small cap condenser option in a smaller package from Soyuz Microphones. With the former 013 FET becoming one of the most popular choices in studios over the last few years, I think everyone wants to know how the 011's compare. We'll take a listen to a few examples on acoustic guitar and piano to hear the differences between the more colorful 013 and the cleaner, more open sound of the 011. These two definitely compliment each other and will cover a lot of ground between them. I'll also throw in a few samples from the newly release 013A Ambisonic microphone.
