Health Organisation, W.H.O, says Africa can now be declared a polio-free continent. According to the Country Director of W.H.O, Dr. Owen Kaluwa, the region has not reported any case of wild poliovirus since August 2016. He however called on member countries to live up to the Sustainable Development Goals and commit to concrete actions to help totally eradicate the poliovirus disease.
