AAP leader Manish Sisodia announced the names of 30 candidates who will take on VVIPs of Congress and BJP. The party will be fielding Rajmohan Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, from East Delhi against Sandeep Dikshit. Dikshit is the son of three-time chief minister of Delhi Shiela Dikshit.
Naveen Jaihind will be contesting the polls against Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's son Deepender Singh Hooda from Rohtak constituency. The 32-year-old has been associated with Kejriwal since the Anna movement against corruption.
Naveen, who hails from Bhainsru Kalan village of Rohtak district, was also a member of the core committee of India Against Corruption movement along with Anna Hazare and Kiran Bedi.
Other prominent names which figured in the list were that of Dr. Dharamveer Bharti from Patiala, Major Surendra Punia from Seekar, Dr.Raza Bhatt from Srinagar, HC Arya from Almora, Dr. Rajan Sushant from Kangra, Samina Khan from Sangli, Bhagwat Rajput from Vidisha, General Raj Kadyan from Jhunjunoo.
"The names of all candidates will be on AAP's website for next 5 days. Anyone who has details about the candidates can put it on website," Sisodia said.
