Current events are not good for both movie theaters and studios. One idea some studios have tried is releasing new movies on Video On Demand (VOD) and there has been some success. Universal Studios has announced that even once movie theaters are allowed to reopen to full audiences, they will continue to make movies available on VOD. AMC and now Regal Theaters have decided to ban all Universal Studio movies due to the decision. How well will this play out for all the parties?
