Guide to the rescue of Maria and Annet from "Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss/Dracula" on the Super Nintendo (SNES).

“Castlevania: Dracula X”, known in Europe as "Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss" is an action game developed and published by Konami, which came out on the SNES in 1995.
Considered by many an SNES port of "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" for the PC Engine CD, it actually can be considered an alternative, independent, non-canonical installment in the series.
In fact, even though it shares many similarities to Rondo of Blood, "Castlevania: Dracula X" presents many differences as well.
It has only 7 stages, plus 2 alternative levels; Maria Renard is not a playable character; there are no proper cutscenes, and the controls feel stiffer.
Regardless of Rondo of Blood's superiority, though, "Castlevania: Dracula X" for the SNES is still definitely worth playing, especially for the fans of the Castlevania franchise.
