The medieval fortress Marienburg in Feldioara is only 20 kilometers from Brasov. The fortress received the appearance from the 17th century through the restoration works that took place between 2013-2017. The medieval settlement was founded in the second half of the 12th century by the Saxon colonists, and in the 13th century, Feldioara became the residence of the Teutonic knights who ruled here.
After the restoration, the popularity of the Feldioara fortress grew exponentially, becoming an unmissable objective if you are in the area.
