This is how I tie my pasta madre when I want to let it sleep in the fridge. I use a ziplock bag (or cling wrap), a long string (can be jute, paracord, up to you), and a long cloth. I've used tea towels but they sometimes get ripped open by the pasta madre. I prefer to use thicker cloth like canvas.
