IPL and BCCI make money through primarily 2 revenue sources : Broadcasting Media Right and Title Sponsorship. And BCCI shares a part of this revenue with all the teams equally. Apart from these, all the IPL teams also generate revenue through other team specific sources such as brand sponsorships, ticket revenue, merchandise sale and prize money. Each IPL team, has an average yearly expense of Rs. 200 crores.
