This is a historic debut for Aero India. The US Air Force’s latest fifth-generation fighters landed on Indian soil for the first time. Touted as the most lethal, capable, and advanced fighter jet, the stealthy F-35A Lightning turned heads at the airshow. It is a single-engine, multi-role combat aircraft that can engage other aircraft in air superiority operations as well as carry out air strikes on ground targets. In cases of a lack of runway, this aircraft is capable of vertical takeoff.
