How to Fix Black Screen Problem on Asus Laptop - Easy Troubleshooting Steps

*To open the CMOS battery on a laptop, follow these steps:

Shut down the laptop and unplug it from any power source.

Remove the battery from the laptop.

Locate the access panel or cover on the bottom of the laptop or on the side of the motherboard.

Use a small Phillips head screwdriver to remove any screws that are holding the panel or cover in place.

Carefully lift the panel or cover off to reveal the CMOS battery.

The battery will be a small, circular, silver-colored coin-shaped battery.

Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the battery out of its socket.

Replace the battery with a new one or insert it opposite side and eject.

Reinstall the battery and plug the laptop back in and make sure the positive (+) side is facing up.
