"If the Quran is a continuation of previous revelations, which also certifies the Bible's authenticity, why does the Quran differ alarmingly from the Bible?" Dr. Shabir Ally explains that the Quran confirms and approves of the Torah and Gospel while acknowledging that certain things may have been introduced into the previous writings (either purposefully or through human error in oral and written transmission) which aren't from God. Dr. Shabir says that the Quran gives new instructions and chalks out a new direction for the the Muslim community, which differentiates it from previous scriptures.
