As Russian forces advance in eastern Ukraine, residents of Pokrovsk and nearby towns are being forced to evacuate, with many fearing they may never return. The latest attack has pushed the front line dangerously close. Despite efforts to relocate the most vulnerable, including those with limited mobility, the situation remains dire as shops are boarded up and trains to safer regions fill up.

Ukrainian military sources estimate Russian troops are now within 10 kilometers of Pokrovsk, intensifying the urgency of the evacuation. Many residents have already reached the nearby city of Dnipro, but uncertainty looms large.
