Professor Ianthi Tsimpli from the University of Cambridge provides an overview of the ESRC- and DfID-funded MultiLila project. MultilLila is a longitudinal project which aims to explore the development of multilingual children’s learning and cognitive abilities in a range of contexts. The three research sites are Delhi, Hyderabad and Bihar. Data collection is underway in 2017-18 and final research findings are expected to be reported in 2020. This plenary talk is from the project’s first dissemination event, held in Delhi in July 2018.
