Whisky.com tastes the Laphroaig PX Cask. The PX stands for the Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks. This adds a nice sweetness to the Laphroaig' s rough character.
The nose:
Intense smoke with some sweetness in the back. Some notes of licorice.
The taste:
Big full tastes of peat, oakiness, grapes. A wonderful round and full aroma.
The finish:
Long, dry and with fading sweetness.
