The 80s are alive and well... well they're alive at least...
I've always dreamed about installing 1980's Pontiac Trans-am/Firebird wheels on a Volvo. The first step was finding the GTA wheels on Facebook Marketplace for $300 - they were in great shape so it was well worth the price in my opinion. Unfortnatly wheels adapters cause the rims to stick out too far so I decided to get them redrilled. After talking to a few different companies I shipped them down to Florida to Dr.Rim to have the old bolt pattern of 5x120 welded closed and drilled out to 5x108 on their CNC machine. Next up was tires and we chose Yokohama AVID Ascend GT - 205/60R15 is a little tall but it fills out the wheel wells and rides great. I ended up needing 6mm spacers to clear the front calipers. They aren't required for clearance on the rear but the track width is narrower and looks strange without them.
