A wonderful morning's walk from the pretty village of Auribeau, up a trail to the top of the Mourre Negre on the Grand Luberon in the heart Provence, in the south of France. With stunning views across the Luberon valley towards a dramatic, snow-covered Mont Ventoux, and to the distant snow-capped low Alps on one side, with the Durance valley and Mediterranean on the other.
Beautiful views across the winter landscape, with the lavender fields and vineyards still dormant, and the views taking on the golden colours of the winter months.
A superb hike, a happy dog, and just total peace for a couple of hours.
