This coin originates from the German empire which lasted in that form between 1871 -1918 with an “A” on the bottom which usually is the mint-mark for Berlin.

The Zwei Mark came into being in 1876, and lasted until 1913 when in that year a last commemorative Zwei mark was minted.
The Zwei mark also wasn’t continually minted because there were some intervals that no Zwei Marks were minted at all.
The weight of this coin is 11,11 gram with a silver content of 90%. So theoretically given us 9,999 gram.
This equates to approx. $5,8 when we only look at the melt / spot value of the silver content as of january 2020.

Wilhelm II was the King of Prussia and German Caesar from 1888 to 1918.
German Caesar Wilhem II was a grandchild of the British Queen Victoria and a cousin of the British King George V and so these cousins would face each other during WWI.
In 1918 King Willem II fled into exile to The Netherlands which granted him asylum where he passed away on the 4th of June 1941 (Doorn).
