3 recipes to impress your ting with for dinner!
Here's are the timings to the meals:
Appetizer Baguette with Tomato and Avocado - from 00.58
Main: Chicken quarters with potatoes & kachumbari - from 3.08
Dessert: Apple Turnover with ice-cream from 12.10
Appetizer
1 baguette
1 tomato diced quite small
1/2 avocado ( smash with juice of half a lemon and a pinch of salt)
A couple of sprigs of cilantro (dania) finely chopped
3 tbsp of olive oil / cooking oil
Main
Chicken Quarters
2 pieces
2 chicken boullion
3 cloves of mince garlic
4-5 sprigs of thyme finely chopped
1 tsp of black pepper
Juice of 1 & 1/2 lemons
1 tsp of black pepper
Salt to taste
Pan fry the chicken for a total of 15 mins on both sides before covering with two splashes of water. Cook through for another 10 mins to ensure the inside is cook through and moist.
Potatoes
1 kg of red potatos
1 & 1/2 tbsp of vegetables potato seasoning
2 tsps of garlic powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp of olive oil or cooking oil
Boil until fork tender then grill for 20 mins on medium low heat.
Dessert
5 puff pastry sheets
2 apples peeled and finely diced
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3 tsps sugar
Stick of butter
1 egg to help you seal the pastry
2 tsps of all purpose flour
2 scoops of ice-cream
Parchment Paper (this paper prevents the pastry from burning at the bottom.)
I baked the puff pastry for 16 mins on level 2 in the air fryer
Bake for 20-23 mins in a 180 degree oven.
