Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has assured of the commitment of the force to bring the perpetrators of the gruesome murder of late miss Vera Uwaila Omosuwa to book within the shortest possible time.
In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba and made available to CNA News, the IGP while condemning the attack commiserated with the family and friends of the deceased.
He said additional investigation aids are forensic support has been deployed to the Edo state Police Command to complement and expedite actions in the ongoing investigation into the unfortunate incident.
Late Vera Omosuwa, a 22 year old, 100 level Micro Biology student of the University of Benin was on May 29th, 2020 raped and murdered by unknown men while studying at the Redeemed Christian Church of God premises at Ikpoba Hills, Benin city.
