When you get asked to name ten Marvel superheroes, one of those is bound to be Wolverine. Even before Hugh Jackman's portrayal of him spanning over a decade and a half, Wolverine was already the rock star of the comic world, appearing in cartoons, video games, and crossing over to other comic titles beyond X-Men.
So what makes him so popular? Probably the fact that his no-nonsense, anti-hero attitude, clashing with his strict code of honour, makes him a truly unique character. Plus his overall badassery. No one else makes wearing yellow look super masculine.
Being a '90s comic nerd, I know Wolverine best in his classic yellow and blue spandex, drawn by artists like John Byrne, Jim Lee, Andy Kubert, and Joe Madureira. Those are the Wolverine stories I am fond of. The X-Men cartoon, with its super catchy theme song, is also a fond memory of mine.
When choosing which Wolverine style to go with for this tutorial, I decided to get inspiration from one of my favourite comic artists, Art Adams. I hope you enjoy!
Happy drawing,
Ramny

CHARACTER BIO:
"Born with super-human senses and the power to heal from almost any wound, Wolverine was captured by a secret Canadian organization and given an unbreakable skeleton and claws. Treated like an animal, it took years for him to control himself. Now, he's a premiere member of both the X-Men and the Avengers."

● BEFORE YOU MAKE A SUGGESTION, READ THIS! ●
Not all suggestions are the same. Some are great, but some are not so good. Here's how I sort them out:
1. Is it current? (From a TV show or game that's currently popular, from a movie that's coming up or just released in the last few months, or from a current run in the comic books, etc.)
2. Is it a popular, mainstream character? (People who don't usually watch the show/movie, or read the comics, still know the character.)
3. Is there enough interest from my viewers? (I do keep a note of all suggestions made in the comments section.)
4. Is it a popular enough YouTube search? (I use a keyword tool to see how often people search for tutorials on characters, before I draw.)
5. Is it easy to do a tutorial on? (Some things are very difficult or time-consuming to do tutorials on.)
6. Have I done a tutorial of it already? (Since there are too many characters out there to draw, I try not to do the same character twice.)
Since I get A TON of requests everyday, I ask all of you to please be patient with me as I can only do several tutorials per week. Thanks!
