🛑 How to STOP emotional eating in the moment with 4 simple steps:
S - Space. Create space between you and the food.
T - Time. Delay the gratification by 2 or 5 minutes.
O - Observe. Think about the thoughts that are creating the emotions driving you to want food. How can you deal with the emotions in a way that doesn't involve food?
P - Plan. Decide what you’ll do instead of eat. Try brushing my teeth, chewing gum, hot tea, sparkling water, or going for a walk.
This works well whether you’re at the end of the meal and keep eating, or if you’re tempted to snack and don’t want to start.
