Motovun, a picturesque hilltop town in Istria, in the north of Croatia, is considered the truffle capital of the country.

The Bencic family is synonym with truffles in Motovun; they were the first to hunt and sell truffles there. In this video, Sasa Bencic, of the third generation in his family to work in the business, tells us about the exquisite delicacy called "the black diamonds of Istria."
