Just shy of mint condition - spectacular rust free undercarriage - never exposed to road salt and Originally from Texas. This is one of the nicer campers you'll find, particularly at this price point. Meticulously maintained and runs beautifully. Manifold Heater works perfectly. Fuel tank recently cleaned and new sending unit installed. Dual Carbs completely dissassembled and rebuilt. Engine oil freshly replaced and new distributor cap, condenser, rotor and spark plugs installed.
This bus has been repainted and began its restoration with minimal to no rust, and a straight body. The only evidence of former rust is at the rear of the driver's side wheel well. (see photos) However, the Complete underbody is rust free and has been treated with Rust Bullet automotive undercoating.
Upholstery is in good condition and includes new foam and features a basket weave pattern. All original furniture is in good condition, including ice box and sink. Dashboard is excellent with only one minor crack and minimal wear for a 40 year old vehicle. Engine is the original 1.8L VW and odometer reads 86,500 miles. Westfalia pop top works perfectly and the bus is being sold with a brand new but uninstalled pop top fabric and installation strip.
