(28 Sep 2015) Typhoon Dujuan was expected to make landfall in northern Taiwan on Monday evening after sweeping through Japan's southern Ryukyu islands.
With a radius of 220 kilometres (137 miles), the storm's maximum sustained winds were estimated at 184 kilometres per hour (114 miles per hour), with gusts of up to 227 kilometres per hour (141 miles per hour).
Dujuan is set to move across the Taiwan Strait and strike China's southeastern Fujian Province on Tuesday morning.
Taiwan's main railway links and several domestic and international flights have been suspended as Typhoon Dujuan approaches.
