Cities Skylines 2 is making progress, albeit slow. Today's CS2 Patch Update 1.1.8 'The Decorations Patch' (and predating Developer's Diary from Colossal Order) show new landscaping options, homelessness fixes, and next steps from Colossal Order. They leave out some of the greater details, perhaps they'll come later on. For now, let's talk the changes in Cities Skylines 2 thanks to patch 1.1.8, the broader direction of the game, and some rapid fire questions around console cities 2, performance, and traffic taken from their X page. The developer diary released roughly 16 hours prior to this video going live. The patch is scheduled to release on steam at 10am PT September 4, 2024 (which I believe is the '10am PT tomorrow' they reference on their X post). More detail in the SOURCES section below.
