São Vicente in north-western Cape Verde is a 24km-long island with many beautiful forests and villages.
This quiet, empty island is entrancing, and home to the small town of Mindelo, one of the prettiest towns in Cape Verde.

Also São Vicente is the island of Cesaria Evora, that great artist and interpreter of Cape Verde music.
