SHARJAH AQUARIUM

One of the largest educational centres in the UAE, the aquarium is run by the Sharjah Museums Authority. Spread across an area of 6,500 m², it consists of two floors embracing 21 aquariums and filled with 1.8 million liters of water

The Sharjah Aquarium first opened its doors on June 6, 2008. This aquarium in Sharjah is the perfect place to witness the local sea life that dwells in the historic coasts of the culturally rich emirate. But that’s not all – the aquarium is a lot more than just a place to witness sea life.

They reflect the diverse marine creatures living in our marine environment. It’s a captivating world revealing an incredible almost (100) species, including the beautiful clownfish, delicate seahorses, moray eels, sea rays and reef sharks. Contemplate the splendour of marine creatures of all sizes along the rocky shore and the coral reefs, and in the lagoons and the mangroves.

Sharjah Aquarium is located in Al Khan Old area, adjacent to Sharjah Maritime Museum.

Opening Hours :
Saturday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Friday: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Sunday: Closed


ENTRANCE FEE
Children aged between 2 and 12: AED 15
Adults (age 13 and above): AED 25

The Sharjah Aquarium entry tickets are joint tickets for a visit to the aquarium and the neighbouring Sharjah Maritime Museum. You can use the same ticket to visit both places in a day.
