Hello Friends and Followers!
In this video, I take you through the entire process of sketching the commissioned graffiti name "TINGEL" in a dynamic black and white style. Starting with a technical pencil, I meticulously lay down the initial lines, focusing on the flow and composition of the letters. The composition phase took nearly an hour as I worked to balance the challenging combination of letters, particularly the tricky "i" and "L" in graffiti form.
After one hour of refining the sketch, I move on to outlining the design with Copic Multiliners, ensuring clean and precise lines. Finally, I add depth to the piece by filling the 3D blocks with various grey tones from the Copic series, bringing the letters to life.
Throughout the video, I share my thought process, challenges, and the solutions I discovered along the way, offering a detailed insight into my creative approach. It's always exciting to take on these commissioned pieces, especially when they push me to explore new letter combinations. While 3-5 letters can be straightforward, 6-letter names like "TINGEL" offer a unique challenge, making the final result even more rewarding.
