She was the daughter of the famous Mufti Alā ad-Dīn Al-Samarqandi, and her dad would never issue a fatwa without consulting his daughter about it first. She married another famous Mufti Alā ad-Dīn Al-Kasani, and together the 3 of them wouldn't issue a fatwa until it had all 3 signatures.
