Hi guys. Today, I'm going to show you how to make Korean Fire Spicy Chicken Feet [닭발 - Dakbal]
For some people, chicken feet can be a bizarre food. For some other people, chicken feet can be their favourite. Which side are you in?
Here are some of the health benefits of chicken feet.
* Healthier and younger-looking [Proven by Chung-Hsing University in Taiwan that showed chicken feet contained lots of collagen which make youthful looking skin]
* It is rich in calcium and protein, without the carbohydrates.
* It improves blood supply by strengthening the blood vessels.
* Assist the body in metabolising fats, therefore good for weight loss.
* Slows the effect of arthritis.
* Reduce pain and swelling (inflammation).
*Cooking tip of making this dish:
1. Boiling chicken feet during cleaning process will get rid of the dirt and blood from chicken feet.
2. Cloves whole, Licorice root and white wine help to eliminate chicken feet odour.
3. Soaked chicken feet in ice water will make it chewy.
4. Precook 40 mins will make chicken feet tender and easily come off from bones.
5. After putting sauce, cook in high heat and do not reduce fire until sauce well caramelised and it will make flavour.
6. Remaining chicken feet stock can be used for other cooking.
7. This dish is best served when it is boiled on the pan and spiciness will increased and very addicted.

Chicken Feet Stock* from Pre-cook Chicken Feet*
1 Tbsp Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
2 Tsp Salt [However, Add this salt according to your taste]
1 Shallot Sliced
“Cleaning Chicken Feet” Ingredients:
3 Litres Water
2kg Chicken Feet
1/4 Cup White Wine
1 Tbsp Salt
“Pre-Cook Chicken Feet” Ingredients:
6 Litres Water
350g Onion
170g Shallots
110g Garlic
20g Dried Hot Chillies
5g Licorice Root
1g Cloves Whole
6 Bay Leaves
1 Tsp Whole Black Pepper
“Making Sauce” Ingredients:
60g Apple
50g Onion
80g Red Chillies [Bird Eye]
30g Green Chillies [Bird Eye]
1/4 Cup Water
1 Cup Chilli Powder
1/3 Cup Minced Garlic
1/3 Cup Rice Syrup
1/3 Cup Chilli Paste
4 Tbsp Sugar
1/4 Cup Red Wine
4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
