This panel discussion entitled 'Peace Processes and Climate Change: How Should the European Union and Civil Society Co-operate for Sustainable Mediation Efforts?' was organised on the 30th of September 2021 by the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office (EPLO). It took place as part of the 2021 edition of the Berlin Climate and Security Conference co-organised by adelphi and the German Federal Foreign Office.
The aim of the session was to discuss how to enhance and strengthen partnerships between the European Union and civil society with respect to integrating climate change and its effects into mediation efforts, in order to help make the outcomes of peace processes more sustainable.
