Welcome to our channel! In this video, we're going to share with you an amazing recipe for Fasting Dhokla, also known as Upvas Dhokla, Farali Dhokla, or Vrat Dhokla.

Fasting Dhokla is a popular Indian dish made with fasting-friendly ingredients. It is light, fluffy, and full of flavor, making it an ideal choice for a quick and easy meal during your fasting period.
This recipe is not only suitable for fasting days but can also be enjoyed as a tasty snack any time of the day.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Samak ke Chawal (Barnyard Millet)
- 1/2 cup Sour Curd
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 tablespoon Ginger-Green Chili Paste
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
- Rock Salt (Sendha Namak) to taste
- 1 teaspoon Eno Fruit Salt
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 8-10 Curry Leaves
- Fresh Coriander Leaves, chopped for garnishing
Instructions:
1. Rinse the Samak ke Chawal (Barnyard Millet) thoroughly and soak them in enough water for 3-4 hours.
2. Drain the water and grind the soaked millet to make a smooth batter. Add sour curd, water, ginger-green chili paste, lemon juice, and rock salt. Mix well to make a thick batter.
3. Grease a dhokla plate or any flat-bottomed dish with oil.
4. Now, add Eno fruit salt to the batter and mix gently. The batter will froth up.
5. Immediately pour the batter into the greased dish and steam it for about 15-20 minutes or until the dhokla is cooked and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
6. Once cooked, remove the dhokla from the steamer and allow it to cool slightly. Cut it into desired shapes.
7. For tempering, heat oil in a small pan. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
8. Pour the tempering evenly over the dhokla and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
9. Serve the Fasting Dhokla warm with green chutney or mint yogurt dip.
