Crochet a simple snowflake for beginners
Abbreviations:
slst: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
dc: double crochet
tr: treble (yarn over twice)
dtr: double treble (yarn over 3 times)
R / r: round / row
Hi everyone, here is a quick & simple written pattern. I am not good at writing this at all. Please Watch the step by step video for clearer and more detailed instructions.
I am using 1mm cotton yarn and 2.0mm hook.
Written instruction (to be used with the tutorial video)
1. Start with a loop (you may want to make a magic circle / magic ring)
Ch5, 5dc into the 1st loop, ch2 between dc. Slst to complete round 1
2. Work in ch2 space, ch3, 3dc, ch3, next 5 ch2 spaces: 4dc, ch3 between 4dc
3. Slst on top of ch3 to complete. Ch1, slst between 4dc, ch1, slst into ch3 space (to move the hook to the ch3 space).
4. Work into ch3 space: ch4, slst, ch6, slst, ch8, slst, ch6, slst, ch4, slst. Move the hook to the next ch3 space, follow the pattern for the other 5 ch3 spaces
