On April 25, 2012, at 4:15pm, 24th District Police responded to a radio call for a Robbery at the Home Depot located at 2539 Castor Avenue. Upon arrival, they were met by a store security officer who stated they observed an unknown male pushing a shopping cart filled with copper wire toward the contractor exit. The suspect exited the store without paying. When the security guard attempted to stop the suspect, he pulled a knife and cut the security guard on his right arm. A second complainant then grabbed the suspect in a "bear hug" when the suspect stabbed him in the stomach and fell to the ground. The suspect then ran into a white work truck and fled.
Suspect Description:
Black male, 30-35 years-of-age, 6'0", 220 lbs, dark-complexion, short black hair wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
