There is a lot of softball played in The Villages with multiple softball complexes and several different softball divisions and leagues. The primary leagues are the rec league and neighborhood league. Players initially participate in a 3 day evaluation clinic before being assigned to a division between 1 and 5 (1 being the highest division). From my experience playing only a half season so far in the neighborhood league is it's a lot of fun. Good people out having a good time.
