Hello! I’m [SARBOTTAM DHAKAL,NEPAL], and today I’m excited to present my innovative approach to biodiesel production, a process that not only focuses on sustainability but also introduces a unique method to maximize output.
The journey begins with sourcing fats, which are carefully selected for their high-quality composition. These fats can come from a variety of sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, or even waste oils, all of which are abundant and renewable.
Once the fats are acquired, they are subjected to a transesterification process, where a catalyst is added to convert the fats into biodiesel. This step is crucial because the catalyst accelerates the chemical reaction, turning the triglycerides in fats into biodiesel and glycerine.
Next, the biodiesel and glycerine are separated. The biodiesel, a clean, renewable fuel, is extracted for further use. But here’s where our process becomes truly unique. The separation process leaves behind a layer of wax on top. This wax, which is often discarded in conventional biodiesel production,has valuable applications in industries such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. By capturing and refining this wax, we are creating an additional revenue stream and enhancing the overall value of the production process.
What sets our method apart is its ability to generate multiple byproducts—biodiesel, glycerine, and wax—at high yields, all while reducing waste and improving efficiency.
Our prototype is already showing promising results, and we are seeking support to scale this process. With further development, we aim to not only expand the biodiesel market but also tap into the commercial potential of these byproducts.
