Nefeli /Clouds/Nubes is a mythological figure in the Greek Mythology. Nefeli was the mother of the Centaurs and the mother of Frixos and Elli, associated with the story of the Golden Fleece.
Nefeli was the Goddess of the Clouds, as Zeus created her from a cloud. According to the myth, Zeus shaped the cloud to look like Hera, because he wanted to trick a man who desired her: Ixion.
English Lyrics:
The golden rag that Nefeli wore on her hair
that made her stand out from the rest at the vineyard
was seen by two young angels and they stole it.
Two young angels
who in their dreams both wanted Nefeli
to feed her with pomegranate and honey,
For her not to remember, to forget what she wants
to seduce her.
Hyacinths and lilies
Stole her perfume and are wearing it
while Cupids throwing arrows are making fun of her.
But the benevolent Zeus
takes the water of adolescence from her
turns her into a cloud and disperses her
so that they could not find her.
querían ofrecer a Nefeli granada y miel
