In this video I head out to target some mackerel on lures for the first time this year. After hooking a mackerel while bass fishing the night before, I thought it was worth a try at a spot where you can sometimes have some great mackerel fishing. I'd be using metal lures from Majorcraft and Sidewinder, these little metal jigs are brilliant for mackerel and can be worked in a variety of ways. This session was a lot of fun as mackerel will fight well for their size and provide a great bit of spot on light gear.
