A 3.7k swim from Three Cliffs bay to Oxwich bay in the Gower, South Wales. Passing Tor bay in the process.

Such a beautiful stretch of coastline! A nice walk through the dunes to get to the start point.

Bad part - I swam through about 200 jellyfish out in the deeps… my first encounter of the year. Most were the size of a tennis ball, but there were a few dinner plates in there too! No stings, as they were Moon jellies, but never the most fun when you feel like you’re swimming through a bowl of jelly-Cheerios.

Surprising to see, as I figured it’s still a bit cold for them, but if there’s one animal that’s going to thrive with global warming… it’s jellyfish! 🤦‍♂️ The last week has been very giving…. Not least because I’ve had the first run-ins of the year with both seals and jellies! 🦭 🌊 🏊‍♂️
