After days of uncertainty caused by his failed bid to impose a state of emergency, Malaysia's Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has secured support from key members of his coalition, UMNO and PAS. The opposition has also promised to ensure the upcoming budget is passed. This will allow funds to be used in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. However, more needs to be done for the political ceasefire to hold.
