*“THE BRONZE SNAKE”*
📝 *Memory Verse: Numbers 21:9 NIV*
– “So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.”
💖
When the Israelites complained again and blamed God for being tired of the food, manna, God was angry with them. “Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.” – Numbers 21:6 NIV.
“In their ungrateful and unbelieving manner, they had hoped for death and now God has let death come to them. The venomous snakes that filled the wilderness were called vicious snakes.” – Sejarah Para Nabi, Hal. 18-19 (Alfa dan Omega Jld 2.) The Israelites trembled. Almost in all the tents there were dead people – Ibid. The bitter state changed their attitude, so that there was no more murmuring from their lips – Ibid.
The bitterness urges them to humble themselves before God. Confessions and pleas were delivered to God through Moses – Numbers 21:7. It was then that God commanded Moses to make a snake out of bronze, which was to be made on a pole. And He commanded that everyone who was bitten by a snake must come near the pole. When that person look at the bronze snake, then he will be healed and live.
The bronze snake was made as a symbol for Jesus. This means that anyone who is poisoned by Satan the old snake, when they look with faith toward Jesus, will be healed and live eternal life – Spirit of Prophecy vol. 2 p. 133. God provides salvation to sinners, despite the deadly poison of sin the may face.
“ULAR TEMBAGA”
📝 Ayat Hafalan : , Bilangan 21:9
*"TETAPLAH BERPENGHARAPAN, ALLAH BESERTA KITA"*
*GOD BLESS US* always 🙏
