Elaine, our Plants Team Manager, explains how to deadhead your bedding plants.
To deadhead your bedding plants, simply take your middle finger and thumb at the stem just above the leaf and pluck the limp bloom from the bud base. Bedding plants will continue to flower if you are assiduous about deadheading. Removing the spent flowers lets the plant thrive and concentrate on its healthy stems and leaves and produce impressive blooms.
Did you know? Meadow Croft Garden Centre is well known for their bedding plants. We have been growing plants and selling them to retailers in the South-East of England for 80 years.
Our entrance glasshouse at the garden centre is a showcase for the products grown on our own nursery, including our free range vegetables and homegrown bedding plants.
Our Plants Team are always on hand to help any customers and answer any questions you may have.
